FEATURED ARTIST~Ken Wisecup
Ken Wisecup is an historical bit of our area. If you drive east on Main St to Silvercliffe, you can’t miss his workshop. Looking like the entrance to a Hobbit house, it is a collection of years of wood projects, outdoor furniture, creative ideas and giant lights that look like something out of Star Wars. He has been featured by National Geographic as a master craftsman and to look at his many many amazingly creative hand crafted pieces, you have no trouble believing it. He has spent the better part of his life devoted to crafting creative things from nature~from swords to giraffes! Ken was the very first featured artist at Sangres Art Guild 20 years ago. As we celebrate the beginning of the third decade of SAG, we honor Ken Wisecup. |
Live Music by Highland Strings Quartet
| The Highland Strings Quartet features Westcliffe’s own Barb Saint-Amour on violin, Kim Millett on cello, Richard Beattie on guitar and Jill Beattie on mountain dulcimer. Combining both rich vocal harmonies and purely instrumental pieces, they bring a lively and varied mix of original and traditional music with the flavor of both the American and Scottish Highlands. |
