Robert Gaarder started making art in the mid-1990s encouraged by a class that encouraged you to find your own style and palette.  He works in acrylic on canvas.  What inspires him is the bold color in the natural world.  He is particularly drawn to the palate of Mexican artists  and the Southwest United States.  Robert has no formal training in art.  He took up art as a hobby when his children were small -- as a way of creating colorful, fanciful pieces that they could hang on their walls. A term sometimes used for Robert’s art is “magical realism.”

JJ Steele has been entertaining folks for years with cowboy tales, poetry and song. Recently, JJ headed up the DJ trail, wranglin’ up tunes for Cowboy Corral on a Westcliffe community radio station at KLZR.org. JJ puts you in touch with visions of the West.

Dennis Russell, poet and songwriter, and Beverly Gray Russell, instrumentalist and best known for her musical saw.
